Getting Started on NexCore
Welcome to NexCore! This guide will help you begin your adventure.
Starting Your Adventure
Start your survival adventure by teleporting to the Survival World. Gather resources, sell them in the shop, and build your base!
Teleport To Survival World: You can enter the survival world by talking to the "Worlds NPC" (Non-Player Character) at spawn, or by entering the command /rtp
(Random Teleport).
A Great Start: Collect useful rewards from Voting or from the Rewards menu (/rewards
) for free on the server! Use any crate keys you get in the Crate Area (/warp crates
).
Basic Commands
Here are some important commands you'll need on the server:
/worlds
→ Open the worlds menu./spawn
→ Teleport to the server spawn./sethome
→ Set your current location as your home./home
→ Teleport to your set home./delhome
→ Delete your set home./pay [player_name] [amount]
→ Transfer money to another player./tpa [player_name]
→ Request to teleport to another player./tpaccept
→ Accept a teleportation request./tpdeny
→ Deny a teleportation request./warps
→ Open the warps menu.
Understanding Worlds
There are several worlds available for exploring and using on NexCore. Here are the details:
- Survival World: Main world, 30k x 30k blocks.
- Nether World: 10k x 10k blocks.
- End World: 5k x 5k blocks.
- Mining World: 5k x 5k blocks.
Mining World: This world is specifically for gathering resources to help preserve the main Survival World's landscape. It may reset periodically (check with server staff for details).
You can typically access these via the /worlds
menu.
Player Homes
Homes allow you to set checkpoints that you can quickly teleport back to, no matter where you are.
Commands:
/sethome [home_name]
→ Set your current location as a home. (You can often name homes, e.g.,/sethome base
)/home [home_name]
→ Teleport to your specified home./delhome [home_name]
→ Delete a home you've set.
Home Limit: As a default player, you can set 2 homes. Your home limit will increase as you level up on the server!
Claiming Land (Grief Protection)
When you find the perfect spot in the survival world for your base, you can claim an area to gain complete control over it and protect it from grief.
Your Claimblocks: You have a certain number of claimblocks, which you can see by holding a golden shovel (the claiming tool). You often earn more claimblocks by playing on the server.
How To Claim:
- Get a golden shovel (often provided via a starter kit or by using
/kit claimtool
). - Right-click one corner of the area you want to claim with the golden shovel.
- Go to the opposite corner and right-click it with the golden shovel to define the rectangular area.
- Hold your shovel to see your claim boundaries and remaining claimblocks.
You can also use commands like /trust [player_name]
to allow friends to build in your claim, and other commands to manage your claims (often listed via /help griefprevention
or a similar command).
